Val Di Fassa
We will be staying in the village of Pozza di Fassa where the Buffaure Ski lift leads to a beautiful ski bowl at Ciampac. Ciampac contains several mountain restaurants that are great spots for lunch. Nestled in the region is our four star Hotel Gran Baita with the renown reputation for superior Italian hospitality.
The scenery in Val di Fassa is some of the most breathtaking in Europe particularly when the Dolomite’s rock formation turns from milky gray to pink right before your eyes. In order to ski all of the Dolomites you would need at least a month. Trip participants have up to 6 days to ski/board as much as possible.
The world famous Sella Ronda panoramic trail offers 26 miles of skiing / boarding in the heart of the Dolomites. The Dolomites spread out through four Dolomiti Superski regions of Alta Badia, Arabba / Marmolada, Val di Fassa / Carezza and Val Gardena/Alpe di Siusi. These four areas contain 232 square miles, or 150,000 acres of skiing. The Dolomiti Superski pass is also valid in 8 additional regions of Alta Pusteria, Civetta, Cortina d’ Ampezzo, Plan de Corones, San Martino di Castrozza/Passo Rolle, Tre Valli, Val di Fiemme/Obereggen, and Valle Isarco providing a total of 750 miles of trails served by 460 lifts.
On Saturday March 5 we will say goodbye to trip participants not extending to Florence/Rome. They will be ending their journey in Venice for their flight back to the United States.
